Most Durable Golf Gloves — Golf Instructor's Tips

As one of the Lead Golf Coaches at TellMeMoreGolf, I am here to bring you my recommendations on golf gloves that are durable and will provide the performance you need to play consistent golf.

Guidelines for durable golf gloves:

  • Material
  • Fit
  • Feel on the club

MOST DURABLE
FootJoy Men's WeatherSof 2-Pack Golf Glove White X-Large, Worn on Left Hand

FootJoy, a Titleist and Acushnet brand provides long-lasting golf gloves that also bring soft feel with synthetic materials. Our review team thought that the breathable mesh across the knuckles improves comfort and flexibility.

Benefits:

As the top name in golf gloves, FootJoy uses synthetic materials in this glove to give you the best feel on the golf club.

I have been using these gloves for years, especially in the cooler seasons as they help maintain your grip and eliminate blisters. There are a number of different size options in the WeatherSof glove but once you find what is best for you, you will be pleased with the performance just like we were!

Pros

  • Durability
  • High-quality
  • Provides an excellent grip in all conditions

Cons

  • Not a natural feel like leather
BEST LEATHER
TaylorMade Stratus Tech Glove 2-Pack (White, Left Hand, Medium/Large), White(Medium/Large, Worn on Left Hand)

TaylorMade surprised our review team a little but the genuine leather and enhanced breathability make this a premium golf glove suitable for amateurs and PGA Tour professionals alike. The material in this glove provides for a great feel on the golf club as it is thin but durable.

Benefits:

This glove will give you a snug fit with a secure grip on the golf club. Many players both pros and weekenders use this glove as it provides the comfort and consistency that all players look for.

Pros

  • Breathable
  • Durable leather material
  • Flexible for added comfort

Cons

  • Wet weather can affect this glove so be sure to take it off after each shot and try to keep it dry.
BEST VALUE
Nike Men's Dura Feel Golf Glove (2-Pack) (White), Large, Left Hand

If you are in the market for a new glove, you will want to give the Nike Dura Feel a try. It is a well-built golf glove known for its longer lifespan compared to other similar models. The leather palm on this glove with added padding in the thumb makes this glove a must-try.

Benefits:

Nike golf gloves are often underrated but should not be underestimated.

They bring an ergonomic comfort to your game that your hands will like. You will likely eliminate blisters with these gloves if that is a problem for you. These gloves tend to run small.

Pros

  • Ergonomic build to protect your digits
  • Quality craftsmanship that will last after you stuff it in your golf bag
  • The back of the hand has several mesh areas to keep your hands cool and dry

Cons

  • Gloves run small so buy one size above your normal

Under Armour Men's Iso-Chill Golf Glove , (001) / Black / White , Right Hand X-Large

Aside from being a comfortable glove for our review team, it uses flat yarn to disperse body heat and titanium dioxide to absorb UV energy. All that together means that wet conditions and hot conditions are no match for this model.

Benefits:

The technology in this glove brings golfers a much-needed option. Most golfers play in the summer months when moisture in the form of sweat, humidity, and rain is all too common. When you get this golf glove on, you will notice the snug fit and it will stay that way regardless of weather conditions.

Pros

  • No close velcro closure
  • Diverts heat out of the glove to keep hands dry
  • Washable after your round

Cons

  • Not as durable but will last if you take care of it.
Bionic Men's StableGrip with Natural Fit Golf Glove - 2 Pack Bundle (2 Gloves) (X-Large, Worn on LH)

Although I have labeled this glove good for seniors, it is also good for those with joint issues. The comfortable fit includes cabretta leather, with padding in the palm and around the fingers to reduce the effect of vibration on the hands.

Benefits:

This glove is also very breathable making it good for sweaty hands. This is one of the best golf gloves all around because of so many different types of players.

When I injured my hand and thought I would be taking a long break from golf, this glove gave my joints a break and allowed me to get back to playing sooner.

Pros

  • Good for seniors, beginners, and those with joint pain
  • Velcro stay tightly closed in all conditions
  • Also good for cold weather

Cons

  • Illegal for tournament play
