GigaGolf Review — (Buying their Mallet Putter Cover!)

A larger mallet putter is how I keep those putts rolling true towards the cup.

Unfortunately, with experience, I have learned that larger mallet putters have a tendency for the paint to chip-off because of their greater weight.

In order for my mallet putter to remain looking new, I needed to find a quality mallet cover and quick!

I will write about the review of my complete experience with this website, from the initial viewing of the website, purchase, receiving of the product in the mail, and finally impressions of the quality of the item.

Review of GigaGolf Putter Cover Purchase

The website front end is a no-nonsense page with all of the categories listed plainly on the top row of tabs. I clicked on accessories and was brought to a page with 16 accessories, including the mallet putter cover I was looking for.

The product was listed as “ProActive Sports Soft-Eze Magnetic Mallet Putter Cover” and the price was a reasonable $9.50.  Listed underneath was a description of the product and it benefits.

WHAT: 

GigaGolf.com is an online website that sells golf clubs, putters, golf bags, custom headcovers, and accessories for golf.

Their golf club offerings should be considered off-brand since they don’t sell any of the major golf brand equipment you are accustomed to seeing.

WEBSITE

Their front page is a one-page fit with photos and many links to the products they offer.

This simple layout tends to look much more like a product menu of golf products than convey a brand or style of their own.

They do offer a 30 day play guarantee for their club offerings and this definitely conveys the feeling they stand behind their products.

PAYMENT METHODS:  

They offer most credit cards for purchase, however, I did not see PayPal as a payment choice.

DELIVERY TIME

My mallet cover arrived in 5 days, normal for the FedEx Home Delivery method that I selected during check-out.

PACKAGING UPON ARRIVAL:

Package arrived in a 11” x 14” shipping envelope and the mallet cover was packaged in a clear plastic with a ProActive Sports logo printed on top.

FIT AND FINISH

The mallet cover made of a durable neoprene-like material and the stitching looks good.

The magnet catch for the closure feels like a quality attachment and the product fits perfectly on my PGX mallet putter. The quality looks great and it should last plenty of golf seasons.

PRICING

Mallet cover is $9.50 and the shipping was $8.95 for a total of $18.45.

GigaGolf.com is a very straightforward golf retail site and my purchase experience reflected this.
